Irish Music Fundamentals

Fall 2018

Sponsored by the University of Northern Iowa Suzuki Music School

Open to any player of a typical Irish session instrument (accordion, banjo, bodhran, bouzouki, concertina, fiddle, flute, guitar, harp, mandolin, uilleann pipes, whistle)

Starting Monday, September 17th
Ending Monday, December 18th

This fall we have a new set of tunes, plus the first “Mystery Tune” that will be taught by ear (i.e., no sheet music will be provided).  This is the traditional way to learn Irish music, and I promise you CAN do it! As your ability to learn by ear improves, you’ll be amazed at how quickly you can pick up and remember new tunes.
